Customer Support

  • Phone Number 801-597-9095

  • Hours of Service 9am - 5pm MST (11am - 7pm Eastern Standard Time)

  • Type of Service Kitlinx is starting with simple tasks, like "Taking Orders", "Password Assistance", "Making an account", "Canceling an item" [all these topics can be done ONLINE without assistance]. More difficult topics like "Missing parts in a kit" should still be dealt with emails to loic@kitlinx.com . Kitlinx is currently working on a centralized email cloud system to smooth out this process.

Breaking News

  • Herpa/Roco Minitanks Kitlinx has acquired this huge collection of mostly 1/87 (HO) armor kits, but also a number of other subjects (ships/aircraft). You have seen thru the week addition of products on the NEW ARRIVAL list OR on the COLLECTION LINK. Please check the lines Herpa/Roco Minitanks, Trident, Preiser, Lindberg. Today, we connect to 282 items (2,392 kits), about 77% of this collection.

  • Eulogy for Modelers As Kitlinx/MRS Hobby acquire huge collections, we would like to "honor the legacy of Modelers". Today, we would like to honor Colonel David McShane, who is blessing Kitlinx' customers with his large HO armor collection. The below comments are from Jack Douglas, a personal friend of David:

“SARGE”, as we old friends called him, was born on October 16, 1937 and grew up in the small Central Town of Beaver, Utah.  After graduating from West High School in Salt Lake City he joined the MARINE CORP. Reserves and went through “Boot Camp”  at MCRD in San Diego, Cal.  While attending classes at the University of Utah in the 1950’s he switched over to the Army Reserve, where he served for 36 years, raising first to Sergeant and subsequently to the commissioned ranks.  He  was active in Armour, which led to a lifelong interest in tanks and military vehicles.  During the summers he participated in a number of maneuvers at Camp Irwin in California while he finished his studies at the ‘U’, graduating  with a masters degree in social work.

It was during these same  years that he began to come into Douglas Models on Second South in Salt Lake City, where he bought the first pieces of what was to become his collection of 1/87 scale Rocco military vehicles.  These were each carefully assembled, painted and placed in replicas of actual individual ARMY units.  The collection grew from a few tanks into replicas of nearly the same formations in the real Army containing, trucks, tanks, armored cars, helicopters, and even aircraft.  On a number of occasions I helped him set these all up for a display and it took 12-15 entire banquet table tops to accommodate the full collection.

After school he went to work for the Social Services Department of the State of Utah.  He held various positions within that Department and stayed there his entire civilian working career.

He was very proud of his Irish Heritage and was active in the Hibernia Society and participated with his family in the St. Patricks Day parade and annual celebrations.

Dave was a long time IPMS member and attended several National Conventions with friends, Curt Grinaker, Pat Gilmore and me, just to mention a few.  He helped organize the 1980 IPMS Convention in Salt Lake City.  He also volunteered at the Fort Douglas Military Museum for years.

The Colonel  and his wife, Vaneen, had four children and they often hosted a 4th of July Celebration on their front porch on 13th. East in Salt Lake during the 70’s – through the 90’s.

In 2001 I had the pleasure of conducting the McShane’s and others on a special tour back to the beaches of Normandy for a D-Day commemorative tour.

Dave passed away on July 4, 2019 in Salt Lake City Utah."

Search Tips:

[Kitlinx is still working on its LEFT COLUMN searches. This work will be completed as soon as "Kitlinx-on-the-clouds" is working smoothly]

Let me add some "tricks" to the POWERFUL search engine of Kitlinx (the SEARCH BOX at the TOP of the website). Below are the KEYS to search ~ 100,000+ available products (67% in US, 33% in Europe)

1. Use the top box search on Homepage

2. Use several keywords separated by spaces to zero-in your search. Example: "1/48 spitfire aircraft_model"

3. Use the underscore "_", like armor_models or Tamiya_ or aircraft_accessor. Example: "1/48 spitfire aircraft_access"

4. Use keyword "instock" to JUST search for in-stock items

5. If you are searching for SALE items, use the keyword "~special~"

6. Don't forget the Manufacturer's link on TOP of each Product-Page. It quickly shows ALL available product from the same manufacturer

7. DO NOT use the asterisk "*"
