So this is a classic kit from way back. Tamiya puts out a spectacular kit every few years; this arrived all the way back in 1972. The 1/350 Enterprise carrier, the FAMO and the Dragon Wagon are all newer flagship releases. Anyway, they improved a few things in 2006, likely in reaction to the Dragon version of this same weapon. The kit remains a masterpiece - tons of figures (even a motorcycle!) and engineered like a Swiss watch (actually, Swiss watches are engineered like Tamiya models) but the state of the art has changed since 1972. Dragon adds photoetch, turned metal barrels and finer molding - none of this existed in 1972. If you're looking for a superdetailed Flak 88, you'll want the Dragon model. If you're looking for a lot of pleasure in building, go with the Tamiya.
