Kitlinx Newsletter - May 25, 2018

 Hobby News!

You can now see Kitlinx support of Modeling Madness, Large Scale Plane and Cybermodeler. Kitlinx is proud to support these awesome modeling sites

Pacific Coast Models is back in business. We are starting SLOWLY but SURELY. The new kit is the 1/32 Fw.190A-4. This kit is IN STOCK with the new Cartograph decals. You can actually build the Fw.190A-1/2/3/4 from this kit because we have left the full decal sheet of the earlier models. The A-4 liveries add SIX markings

The conversion is very simple. The tail antenna and the engine exhaust louvers.

We offer EIGHT gorgeous liveries of this racy plane: One Afrika theater, three variants JG-54, the (un)famous JG-1, a couple A-4/U8, and of course JG-2 Schnell colorful plane! Remember that the Fw.190A-1/2/3 parts and decals are still added to this kit, so you have much more options

This kit is VERY important in the line of the Fw.190 Würger series. After the initial engine troubles were resolved in the early versions, the Spitfire Mk.V was out-performed - and even the Spitfire Mk.IX as only better in few area. The "nasty" Fw.190A-4/U8 would harass the British Isles by coming low above the waves, drop their 250 kg bombs, and escape before being caught. The clipped-wing low-altitude Spitfire and early Typhoon were design to meet this threat!

The SC-250 and SD-250 bombs are ready. It is resin body and photo-etch fins. See photo below of the build SC-250. The decals are from Cartograph as well, and cover many variations. The bomb rack ETC-501 and 300-liters drop tank fairings VTr-Ju.87 should be finalized in the next couple of weeks to offer the U8 version

PCM has sent kits for reviews to Hyperscale, CyberModeler, Modeling Madness and Large Scale Planes. Our own local master builder is finishing the kit and you will view it on Monday on the website.

Let's talk TAMIYA

As of June 1st, 2018, Tamiya is entering a MAP system (Minimum Advertised Price). This means that ALL Tamiya products cannot be sold below 20% below retail. Kitlinx will support this pricing policy, and encourage our customers to support Tamiya. Tamiya has been at the fore-front of the Modeling World for over 40 years. Mr. Tamiya vision has created this huge supply of subjects, and improved the accuracy of models throughout the years

In addition, the MAP pricing allows retail stores to compete with 'basement Internet companies' with no overheads and little understanding of sustainable profit margins
