- Things are "settling down" and it's time to make a Newsletter!
- Kitlinx received THREE
International Orders together on Monday... Now shipping as
quickly as possible!
- The second-tier of the Gilmore collection is getting entered. We
added about 80 kits today, and still have to work on the last 100 kits!
- MORE KITS? In this latest
collection, the collector sometimes put 2 or 3 kits in the SAME BOX!
Please do not contact Customer Support and try to return the "extra
kit(s)". Kitlinx cannot sell these extra kits because the box is only
for the original kit. So please take these bonus kits and build them...
or donate them to your local IPMS... or even better, teach a youngster
to build a model!
Just to give a little update on Pat Gilmore originally from Illinois
and eventually followed "the marching orders from his delightful wife"
to Utah: Pat flew 35 years for Western & Delta Airlines (Captain of
mainly Boeing 757). He also flew C-141 Starlifter for the US Air Force
from Vietnam and later operations. He told me last week "when I came
out of Hanoi, I was supposed to have 180 passengers because of the mask
limitations in the plane, but we took 320! He met by accident one of
his "refugees" later in life who was very grateful for his service. He
is an important part of the Utah Scale Modelers and a volunteer at the Hill Aerospace Museum. Pat
was a prolific model builder, mostly 1/144 - 1/72 and 1/48 scale
aircraft and received many awards. Pat's health has been declining and
we wish him and his family some quality time together.
Tariffs!
We might not like this word, but our European supplier has just
informed us that STARTING
AUGUST 29th, Tariffs will be added to each line of products,
with some lines charged higher fees than others... and some "no fees"!
It is still unclear of the charged tariffs, but we expect 25% on all
Chinese manufacturers, and about 10% on European manufacturers.
These costs will pass on to the customers and we are still wondering
how it will affect our industry.
THIS WEEK might be the last week
"before tariffs are charged", as we plan a "tariff-free" order
early next week before the dispatch deadline!

was wandering through various modeling websites when I saw Kitlinx had
posted a "flash sale". Curious, I started perusing the sale
items. I was shocked to see that some kits that I had wanted, but
couldn't rationalize the cost, were now on sale considerably less
expensive than I had seen on any website! Needless to say the card came
out and I was like a a drunken sailor in a brothel. [Kitlinx shall not
edit this comment... (-;]. I'm very appreciative of Kitlinx,
particularly now with tariff and customs, my overseas website purchases
have ceased."
