CRASH!

You may have noticed that no updates happened on Tuesday / Wednesday. 

We had a Product-Database crash! As scary as it sounds, the database got corrupted and 220k items disappeared from the system... (yes, "only" 99.5k show on the website, but we have the entire history of GMW if these items were to be re-released) Fortunately, we have back-ups, and uploads to recover the data. It just made us realize that about 2,700 items were added in the last two months! So every day adds-up to a LOT of work...

The database is now back and running. But several lessons were learnt from this experience:

• Regular back-ups

• Put it on 'the cloud', stupid!

• re-built product database much more efficient
